If just the worlds hidden cities would rise up someday…but they wont. They’re extremely difficult to discover but narratives about cities that are rediscovered inhabited by a race of giants will fascinate us.

Amazing discoveries demand an even greater quantity of chance or great attempts. We learn that caused the doorsill of the very most well-known underground city of giants if were to trust early 20th century journalism.

Based on an article printed on April 5, 1909 in The Arizona Gazette, the Grand Canyon was once home to culture that a lot of probably consisted of people of cyclopean proportions. If such a culture lived, certainly it’d have left as a testament of its own existence behind some construction.

The post mentions the discovery of an enormous underground citadel via an explorer named G.E. Kinkaid, who stumbled upon it while rafting on the Colorado River. It’s worth saying that Kinkaid had financial backing from the Smithsonian Institute and was a recognized archaeologist.

The entry to the city was at the end of a tunnel that stretched for nearly a mile underground.

First, I’d impress the cavern is nearly inaccessible, Kinkaid wrote. The entry is 1,486 feet down the steep canyon wall. It’s found on government land and no visitor will be allowed there under penalty of trespass.

[…]Above a shelf which hid it from view from the river, was the mouth of the cavern. I became curious, fixed my gun and went in, as soon as I saw the chisel marks on the wall in the entrance.

The architecture indicated advanced engineering abilities were possessed by the contractors of the underground city.

The central heart of the subterranean city proved to be a huge chamber out of. The walls of the primary chamber were adorned with tablets and copper weapons covered in hieroglyphic symbols, not dissimilar to those discovered in Egypt. Another finding that pointed to an Egyptian link were undoubtedly the most interesting things in the citadel, the mummified bodies.

No mummy measured all of them and less than 9 feet were wrapped in linen that was dark. Kinkaid wrote one of them had stood upwards and photographed it by torch, but that picture is to be located.

Additional exploration revealed something about the faith of the citys giant inhabitants:

More than a hundred feet from the entrance is the cross-corridor, several hundred feet long, in which are found the idol, or picture, of the individuals god, sitting cross legged, with a lotus flower or lily in every hand.

The cast of the face is oriental, and so is the carving of the cavern. The idol almost resembles Buddha, although the scientists are uncertain as to what religious worship it signifies.

The article records the discovery of devices and pottery bearing the indications of having originated elsewhere on the planet. Such a melange of cultures is seldom encountered in archaeological finds, making this discovery one of unprecedented value.

The final chamber that anticipated quest was what Kinkaid and his partner, Prof. S. A. Jordan considered to be a ceremonial crypt. It was situated in the end of the big room where all the other mummies were discovered.

There’s one chamber of the passageway that is not ventilated, and when we approached it a deadly, snaky smell struck us. Our light wouldn’t penetrate the gloom, and until stronger ones are available we WOn’t be aware of what the chamber features.

Some say snakes, but others believe it could have a deadly gas or chemicals

The whole underground installation gives one of shaky nerves the creeps,

Before giving more details relating to this critical discovery sadly, the post ceases. The truth is, no other official reference of the underground city is made. Was it all a hoax or is there something more black responsible for the silence?

There are a few who consider that a tight lid has been put in addition to the matter and the narrative of the subterranean city of giants is accurate.

Conspiracy theorist John Rhodes said he understood the precise place of the entry to the city but that it was guarded 24/7 by soldiers carrying M-16 rifles. Another thought floating round the net stated the underground city functions as a museum for the ruling class that was shadowy.

Last but not least and largely because of David Icke, several have joined the presence of reptilian humanoids and the deadly, snaky smell.

Their disclosure does not convince everyone, although obviously, the Smithsonian Institute refused knowledge of the presence of this kind of enigmatic subterranean city. The wealth of conspiracy theories constructed across the notion to be able to keep the normal historical point of view the Smithsonian conceals or destroys evidence does little to aid the matter.

Due to an acute lack of signs, it appears that for now, the narrative of an underground city of giants is simply that a narrative.
